Mission: “To be first class, member focused delivering the best in the interest of the fish industry”.

Grimsby F.M.A was incorporated in 1911 therefore we celebrate our centenary next year. Despite the recession there are 80 full members and 20 associate members. The majority of members are small processors employing between 5 – 20 staff; collectively the members’ employ circa 4000 people. The Association is run by a board of five directors. The role of Chairman is shared by two directors. The Chief Executive is responsible for the day to day running of the business and is supported by two secretarial / administration members of staff. Grimsby FMA is the only Association that is run on a full time basis. One of the primary roles is working with various partners within the industry to develop a focused and cohesive industry; this is essential when lobbying.
